For the 2018 Spring Meetings, the broad theme will be Meeting Global Aspirations and Challenges. Sessions will highlight the importance of investing in people and building resilience, as well as the role of innovation and partnerships including with the public and private sector to unlock opportunities and help countries—and people—realize their potential. A brochure on the Program of Events can be found here.

The Meetings are attended by approximately 2,800 delegates from our member countries, 350 observer organization representatives and 800 members of the press. Approximately 550 accredited civil society members also participate in the Meetings.

​Ke​y Ev​e​nts​​

During the Meetings, the World Bank Group and the IMF also help organize and host a number of related meetings of groups of country delegations, such as the G-20, G-24, Commonwealth, BRICS, the Program of Seminars, the Civil Society Policy Forum (CSPF) and other events beginning on Monday, April 16. Admission to events is restricted by registration category, credentials and/or invitations.

All events, times, and locations listed in the schedule are tentative and subject to change.

Open, Limited, or Closed Sessions

  • Open: The Program of Events and Civil Society Policy Forum (with the exception of the CSO Roundtable) are open to all registered Spring Meetings participants and invited WBG/IMF staff.    
  • Limited: The CSO Roundtable with WBG Executive Directors is intended for Civil Society Organization participants, and only CSOs may attend. Press Events and Regional/Economic briefings are aimed at the media, and only Press may attend.
  • Closed: In addition to the Program of Events, there will be Ministerial Meetings, Roundtable Discussions, and High-Level fora, many of which are by invitation only. Smaller business meetings (such as partners' meetings and technical briefings) will be held throughout the buildings and are not intended for, nor open to, all registered Spring Meetings participants. Access to these sessions is by invitation only.

​About Corporate Secretariat Conferences Office

The Corporate Secretariat Conferences Office (SECCO), works under the supervision of the Corporate Secretary of the World Bank Group to produce the Spring and Annual Meetings. SECCO is responsible for a wide range of services during the Meetings including communications, registration and credentials, events services, office arrangements, hotel accommodation, language services, audio-visual support, documents and records, personnel, procurement, shipping, security, transportation and technology services.

The 2018 Annual Meetings will be held in Bali, Indonesia from October 12-14. The 2019 Spring Meetings will be held in Washington, D.C. from April 12-14.
